  GOALKEEPERS

back   home

Wolves have only two professional keepers on their books at the moment. They have had many great keepers over the years, and some that were not so good. Below you will see the current keepers and a chance to see our keepers from years gone by.

Micheal Oakes

Michael was signed from Aston Villa for 500,000 pounds. He was the only player to play in every wolves game in the 2001-02 season. On many occasions he has shown that he is probably the best shot stopper outside the premier league. He helped his defence to keep many clean sheets and the second best defence in the first division.

Matthew Murray

Matt has not yet played for the wolves first team but has played many reserve games and is highly rated by manager Dave Jones. He has been on cover for Oakes almost the whole of the season. He was signed from a trainee.
